Hi everyone!  I wanted pop in to share a card I made for a recent Flower Soft challenge.  This card uses one of the Vintage Christmas card toppers and they are so easy to make.  If you're interested, please let Grace know and she can place an order for you.  These are great if you want to get started on next year's cards.

I'll be back in the shop in 2012.  Doesn't that sound like it's a long time away?  Only one more week really.  Anyway, if you would like to take one of my classes, be sure to check with Grace and grab your spot because classes fill up quickly.

In the meantime, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or Happy Kwanza!  Whatever way you chose to celebrate this season, I wish you health and happiness!

October Card Class

Gracie's card class for October features 2 holiday cards.
The reindeer card is stamped using versamark and embossed using clear embossing powder on white card stock. Adding shades of blue and grey to fill in the back ground makes the snowflakes and reindeer really pop and for the adding touch the centers of the snowflakes is silver flower soft. Then adding several layers of card stock is just the right touch to bring this card together.
The Season Greetings card is made from scraps. With all the scrapbooking and card making I do scraps can really come in handy. Add ribbon and some gold balls, use your favorite punch and put it all together and you've just created a simple and elegant card.
Look for the monthly calendar to be published for dates and times. Hope to see you at a class.

Flower Soft Christmas Nativity Luminary

Hi Everyone.  Christmas is fast approaching and I wanted to share with you a little something from Flower Soft that is sure to brighten your day, or maybe even your night (you'll see what I mean in a minute).

I will be back teaching monthly card/technique classes at Stacie and Gracie's beginning September 22.  Be sure to RSVP with Grace as space is limited.

Now on to what  I wanted to show you.  Have you seen the new Christmas Pyramid Card Kits available from Flower Soft?  Not only can you make the most beautiful cards with them, you can also convert them into luminaries.  Take a look at the video below!   Grace will be carrying these card kits in her store but in order to insure that you get one, you may want to call her so she can order an adequate quantity.  Also, if you are interested in learning how to make these, let Grace know and I will schedule a class to show you how.  This will be on display at the shop at the end of September so stop in and see it in person.

Have a wonderful day and I hope to see you in class soon!

Vintage Birthday Card

I was given old post cards by a friend and on the post card was a calander for "1923". I simply had to do something with these post cards. I removed the calandar from the lower right hand corner of the post card and replaced it with "Happy Birthday" stamped and punched out. Then I layered the post card on card stock, used a corner punch and assembled. I added Sweet Pea and Silver Flower Soft and to top it all off I added a pink satin ribbon. I hope you enjoy it.
